“Be the change you want to see.”
To commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday on Saturday 7 October 2017, the annual Gandhi Peace Peace walk is been organised, dedicated to his philosophy of non-violence. The Walk is a special event organised to commemorate and promote the principles followed by Gandhi, to promote world peace to end terrorism. Previously it had been organised in The Hague only by Mr. Frank Kanhai, who has dedicated his effort to promote this peace Walk and other causes in combination with sports such as the Roparun! The Walk will commnece at the Gandhi Statue at the Peace Palace in The Hague on Saturday 7th : on Sunday afternoon Oct. 8th at 15:00 the peace walk will end at the steps of the European Parliament in Brussels. This year the EU parliament is an important milestone to ask attention for the message of Gandhi.
The most important reason to stress this coming peace walk is the fact that the EU is currently challenged by many states who might be encouraged to increase dialogue instead of separation and all kinds of “-exits”.
The organising committee and their teams will conduct their last test walk this month, Interested ?
NOTE: THIS IS AN OFFICIAL EVENT WHICH REQUIRES FORMAL REGISTRATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF THE PARTICIPANTS FOR SECURITY AND LOGISTICAL REASONS.
MORE INFORMATION WILL FOLLOW SOON. PARTICIPATION IS BASED ON FORMAL REGISTRATION. YOU CAN ALSO CONTACT THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE : Frank kanhai, Tjetan Kartaram, Suzan Girbaran, Sheela Vyas, Asha Tewari.
